Hospitality manager

Within the iconic walls of Hangar 26/27 on Eilandje in Antwerp, you will find Vis van A: a seafood restaurant, bar, terrace, and fish market. Led by Michelin-starred chef and serial entrepreneur Bart De Pooter, Vis van A offers the best of the North Sea (think grilled lobster on the charcoal grill, eel in green sauce, salmon on the teppanyaki, and magnificent seafood platters) as well as seasonal vegetables from our own garden.

Are you a passionate individual looking to take on the role of Hospitality Manager at “Vis van A”? We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our team in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

  • In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our team, providing guidance, motivation, and direction when needed.
  • Your welcoming demeanor and genuine enthusiasm will ensure that our guests are greeted with a warm smile and the highest level of hospitality.
  • Your responsibilities will include active collaboration with your team to ensure seamless service to our guests. You will also be responsible for managing email communications, reservations, and group inquiries while maintaining effective communication with all departments.
  • Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in creating and sustaining the ideal ambiance and atmosphere, fostering positive vibes throughout our establishment.

  • You have previous experience as a Hospitality Manager or possess the ambition to support our team.
  • Being proactive is a must.
  • You are hospitable, friendly, and polite, paying careful attention to our guests.
  • You are a true team player who can take the lead.
  • You are flexible. You are respectful and loyal to your colleagues.
  • Your native language is Dutch, and you are proficient in English, with French being a bonus!


  • Full-time contract with a competitive compensation package commensurate with your experience.
  • You will have the opportunity to further develop yourself.

  • A 4-day workweek, totaling 40 hours per week. 20 statutory vacation days.
